Quality Assurance

Your Sample and Your Bulk Order Should Be Identical.

We build quality into the process — not the final inspection report.
The most common complaint from buyers who’ve been burned by a factory is: “The sample was perfect but the bulk order was completely different.” That happens when quality control is treated as a final gate rather than a continuous process. At Claw Clip Factory, QC checkpoints run from incoming material to outgoing shipment.

"In the global trade market, trust is built on stable quality and honest communication. We don't just sell parts; we manufacture the confidence that our partners need to scale their own legacies."

01

Factory Transparency

Full visibility into our sourcing and labor practices. We welcome audits and invite clients to see the floor in action.

02

Precision Manufacturing

Tolerance levels within 0.05mm. Our engineering ensures that every clip maintains its tension for years, not months.

03

Partnership First

We are not just a vendor; we are an extension of your design team, advising on feasibility and cost-optimization.

The QC Framework

Quality controlled at four stages — not one.

A quality problem caught at the raw material stage costs almost nothing to fix. A quality problem caught after the shipment has left our factory costs everyone. Our four-level system is designed to catch issues as early as possible in the production cycle.

Spring Selection & Matching

Each clip design requires a spring with the correct wire gauge, coil count, and pre-tension to match the jaw geometry. We match spring specification to mold geometry during the development phase — not after production. Using the wrong spring in a well-made clip body produces a clip that either won’t stay open or requires excessive force to close.

Why this matters for your order
Without in-process inspection, a process drift that begins at unit 500 of a 10,000-unit run may not be discovered until the final QC inspection — by which time 9,500 non-conforming units have been produced. IPQC stops this.

Product-Specific Checks

Tests that matter for claw clips specifically.

01
Spring Tension & Fatigue Test
We test the opening force required to operate the clip and verify it is within the range specified for the clip size and target market. We also conduct repeated open/close cycle testing — our standard tests clips across a minimum of 3,000 open/close cycles before bulk approval.

If skipped, buyers see:

Spring losing tension after limited use · Excessive force required to open · Spring falling out of seat

02
Carton Labeling
Each master carton labeled with product code, color description, unit quantity, gross and net weight, carton dimensions, and destination information. Additional labeling per your broker or forwarder accommodated.

Your Brand

on the Product.

Defect Where it comes from How we control it
Surface scratches on clip body Handling during assembly or packaging, rough mold surfaces, improper de-molding technique Padded handling surfaces in the assembly area, mold surface inspection before every production run, visual inspection of every finished clip before packaging line entry
Uneven or patchy matte finish Material incompatibility with the matte process, process temperature variation, contamination in the colorant batch Material-and-process combination verified during sample stage, temperature monitoring during all production runs, colorant batch inspection at incoming stage
Poor spring fit — loose, misaligned, or ejecting during use Incorrect spring specification for the clip geometry, inconsistent insertion position, poor quality spring material from supplier Spring specification matched to mold geometry during development stage, standardized insertion procedure with fixed position, spring supplier quality control at incoming inspection
Weak jaw opening — clip won't hold hair Insufficient spring tension, spring fatigue from poor quality material, spring insertion at incorrect angle Spring tension tested and approved before bulk production, spring material supplier QC, insertion angle standardized in assembly procedure documentation
Color inconsistency within same order Colorant batch variation between suppliers, process temperature drift during production run, uneven mixing at startup Incoming colorant batch checked against color standard, in-process color monitoring at defined intervals, batch head/mid/tail sampling and comparison before release
Packing errors — wrong quantities, colors, or labels Manual packing without systematic verification, rushing at end of production cycle Color and style sorting before packaging begins, per-carton count verification before sealing, OQA check on labeled and sealed cartons before release for shipment
Product Scope

We make claw clips.
All types. At volume.

Our injection molding lines are configured specifically for hair clip production — not generic plastic parts. This means tighter tolerances, better finish consistency, and faster problem-solving when something needs adjusting.

01 · Matte

Matte

A soft, non-reflective surface that reads as premium and modern. We produce matte clips with consistent surface texture and no patchy variation between units.
Best for: Boutique brands · Minimalist aesthetics · Soft-touch feel

02 · High Gloss

High Gloss

A bright, polished surface with strong light reflection. Gloss clips photograph well and are popular in retail and gift packaging contexts.
Best for: Retail packaged products · Gift sets · Premium positioning

03 · Frosted

Frosted / Translucent

A semi-transparent finish that allows light to pass through the clip body. Creates a soft, airy visual effect popular in minimalist and summer-oriented collections.
Best for: Minimalist lines · Summer collections · Fashion-forward buyers

04 · Solid Opaque

Solid Opaque

A fully opaque, clean-colored clip with no light transmission. The most common format. Available in any solid color with matte or gloss surface treatment.
Best for: Wholesale buyers · Multi-color assortments · Everyday clip lines

Share a Pantone reference number, a physical color chip, or a product image and we will produce color samples for your approval before bulk production begins. Color consistency controlled within each batch and between repeat orders using the same color reference standards.

Why This Matters For You

Consistent quality from sample to bulk — that's the point.

Our QC system exists for one commercial reason: to make sure that the product you approved at sample stage is the product that arrives in your warehouse at bulk stage. Here is what that consistency means in practice for your business.

01
Reduces your incoming inspection burden
When you trust that a factory’s QC process works, you spend less time and resources inspecting incoming goods. Buyers who work with us on a repeat basis typically conduct spot checks rather than full inspections — because the track record justifies the confidence.

02
Reduces quality disputes and rework costs
Quality problems that get to your warehouse are expensive — in replacement costs, return logistics, customer relationship damage, and time. Quality problems caught at our facility cost us, not you. Our QC system is designed to keep problems on our side of the shipment.

03
Protects your brand reputation
If you’re a brand owner or private label buyer, the clips you sell carry your brand name. A clip that breaks, scratches a customer’s hair, or looks inconsistent in a batch reflects on your brand. We treat your product as if our name is on it — because in the supply chain, it effectively is.

04
Enables confident repeat ordering
The biggest operational win for a buyer in a good factory relationship is the confidence to repeat-order without starting from scratch every time. When the first three orders arrive consistently, the fourth order is straightforward. Our QC system is designed to earn that confidence.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

Standard MOQ starts at 1,000 units per style for existing designs. For custom mold development, the MOQ is typically 5,000 units. We’re open to discussing smaller trial orders for new clients — feel free to reach out.

From CAD approval to physical sample, the process typically takes 15–21 business days depending on design complexity. Rush production options may be available upon request.

Yes. We supply GRS-certified recycled plastics and biodegradable acetate for brands prioritizing sustainability. All eco materials comply with REACH and RoHS international standards.

We operate under FOB (Shenzhen / Ningbo), CIF, or DDP terms based on your logistics preference. We partner with major freight forwarders to offer competitive rates worldwide.

Absolutely. Pre-production samples are available for a nominal fee, which is fully credited back against your bulk order. In-stock samples can be shipped within 3–5 business days.

We offer both. OEM means we manufacture to your design; ODM means you choose from our catalog and we customize for your brand. Our in-house design team can assist from concept to final artwork at no extra charge.
